Patton Learning Center (PLC) is located at the intersection of Eldorado and Independence, next to the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple (KSHT).
PLC traditionally offers in-home Math, Reading and Writing classes in hour-block sessions, once a week.

Classes are offered both in-person and online.
K-8th Grade
Classes will follow school curriculum in order. Summer months will be used to cover new grade level material to enable students to get ahead.
Algebra I
Algebra I classes are designed for 8-9th graders. Topics such as linear functions, quadratic and exponential functions, inequalities, graphing, systems of equations, and more will be covered.
Geometry
Geometry classes are for 9-10th graders and will cover coordinate and transformational geometry, proofs and congruence, trigonometry, 2D/3D figures, circles, and probability and more.
Algebra II
Algebra II classes are for 10-11th grades. Some of the topics covered include inverse functions, square root and cube root functions, arithmetic and geometric series, and exponential and logarithmic functions.
Pre-Calculus
Pre-Calculus classes are for 11-12th graders. Topics like the unit circle, composite and piece wise functions as well as sine, cosine, rational, polynomial functions and more will be discussed.
Reading and Writing
English reading and writing classes are offered for students in grades K-8 to improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking.

I was a lecturer, teaching undergraduate and graduate students, prior to working in the IT industry.
My love for teaching and learning has led me to start Patton Learning Center as a school for children to grow and realize their academic potential.

I started PLC after many years of experience in the teaching industry.
My approach to education is centered on the Growth Mindset, a specific frame of mind as proposed by Dr. Carol Dweck. A Growth Mindset, as opposed to a Fixed Mindset, praises process and not talent. Praising the process includes acknowledging resilience, confusion, failure, effort, and everything that feeds into the experience of learning.
I encourage my students to look at every challenge and setback in a positve light. Students taught in this method perform better academically and immerse themselves in the pursuit of knowledge. They view intelligence, talent, and abilities as malleable and in their own hands, not inherited or pre-determined.
I offer a range of classes and a flexible schedule to cater to each child's learning style. I will work with you and your child to do a complete assessment of their needs and goals.

North South Foundation

The North South Foundation is non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that hosts many educational contests throughout the nation for grades K-12. Competitive exams are offered in a range of subjects such as Geography, Math, Science, and Public Speaking. I was a volunteer instructor in preparing students for the competitive Math exams.
